Sutton Community Farm

• PROJECT: Farm building for packing vegetables and holding events

• LOCATION: Sutton, Greater London

We worked collaboratively with the community run farm in Sutton to find a super cost effective way to create a lovely multifunctional space for people working on and using the farm. 

A fundamental function of the barn is to pack vegetables within it whilst creating a comfortable sheltered space for people whilst they work. Meanwhile we also ensured the space was dramatic and framed some of the beautiful views of the site, providing connectivity between the space and its surroundings,

The barn is constructed using a pre-fabricated timber frame and is clad with timber and lightweight metal agricultural cladding to minimise the embodied carbon of the build.
