We’re thrilled to share some exciting news from one of our standout projects.

Park Haus, our super low-energy retrofit in Stretford, South Manchester, will be featured on a brand-new Channel 4 programme with Guy Martin — and we couldn’t be prouder to have been part of the journey.

Over the past year, Guy Martin has been following the transformation of Park Haus as it undergoes a deep retrofit targeting the Passivhaus EnerPHit standard. The project is a first of its kind in Trafford, demonstrating what’s possible when rigorous design, skilled construction, and a commitment to low-energy principles come together.

Progress in Practice, alongside Myzsa Group as Main Contractor, have supported Guy throughout the process, helping to build his understanding of retrofit and Passivhaus construction through site visits, conversations, and hands-on learning. It’s been a brilliant opportunity to share knowledge and shine a spotlight on the realities — and rewards — of delivering high-performance buildings.

The Channel 4 programme explores how homes can be transformed to dramatically reduce fuel bills while creating spaces that are genuinely comfortable, healthy, and future-proof. It goes beyond surface-level fixes, highlighting the quality, attention to detail, and technical expertise required to achieve truly low-energy performance, as well as the innovative technologies that make it possible.

We’re delighted to see retrofit and Passivhaus principles reaching a wider audience. Having Park Haus, an understated, but quietly exceptional retrofit, form part of that conversation is a delight to see.
